In our clinic’s own laboratory, important laboratory tests are prepared and performed by our specially trained veterinary assistants. This means that results are available promptly and can be used directly for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

These include, for example:

• Microbiological examinations incl. preparation of a resistance test
• Fecal sample testing for sand and parasites
• Urinalysis
• Mycological examinations (skin fungus)
• Preparation of a blood count
• Cytological examinations (incl. cell counting)
• Blood gas analyses, especially in the context of lung and performance diagnostics
• Additional devices are available for clinical chemistry and hematology, with the help of which an overview of the most important blood parameters can be quickly obtained. These include, for example, hematocrit, hemoglobin, various muscle, liver or kidney enzymes as well as blood pH and serum proteins.

For more complex or special tests, we work closely with recognized veterinary laboratories.

These include, for example:

• Special blood tests (e.g. doping)
• Pathohistological examinations of tissue samples (arthroscopically obtained tissue, synovia, synovialis, tumors, uterine biopsies, skin, …).
• Hormone determinations (estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, anti-Müllerian hormone, insulin, ACTH)
• Infection diagnostics: bacterial, virological, parasitological and mycological determination of pathogens from various materials
• Immunological tests (e.g. allergy test)
• Examinations for hereditary diseases
• Export investigations
• Feed analyses
